Introduction

  • Developed an autonomous robot within a 4-person team, optimizing design trade-offs across cost, performance, and schedule under a sub-$100 budget and tight competition deadline
  • Integrated mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems — including sensors, actuators, and microcontroller-based logic — to execute multi-step timed tasks
  • Applied structured design methods — function tree, morphological chart, house of quality, and specification sheets — to evaluate design concepts and drive data-informed decisions
  • Fabricated custom components via 3D printing and laser cutting, applying DFMA principles to simplify fabrication and assembly
