Introduction
- Developed an autonomous robot within a 4-person team, optimizing design trade-offs across cost, performance, and schedule under a sub-$100 budget and tight competition deadline
- Integrated mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems — including sensors, actuators, and microcontroller-based logic — to execute multi-step timed tasks
- Applied structured design methods — function tree, morphological chart, house of quality, and specification sheets — to evaluate design concepts and drive data-informed decisions
- Fabricated custom components via 3D printing and laser cutting, applying DFMA principles to simplify fabrication and assembly
